Welcome Sabrel! Community Storehouse is excited to show you everything that we stand for and host you in our Achievement Center during our Camp Community Storehouse program.
Community Storehouse is a children's based non-profit that was founded 40 years ago. Our mission is to help low-income families who are struggling nutritionally and educationally. We do this through tutoring, school break camps, little learners and a food pantry.
For your volunteer event, we will be having you assist us in the Achievement Center preparing for our last day of summer camp session 1. Every summer children are faced with the problem of loosing what they have learned in the previous school year and then start the new year, at a deficit. Our program is designed to help kids retain what they have learned and even grow but in a fun and excited atmosphere. The children work very hard for a full three weeks of camp, and the last day, we like to have a fun filled day with cookouts and games. During your time with us, we will ask that you help us prepare for the cookout, set up games, help with entertaining kids etc.
Please make sure to wear close toed shoes and dress comfortably.
Upon arrival, please park in the lot that is directly to the north of our building, (the driveway entrance tot he right hand side when facing the building). This way we can leave the front spaces open for clients and donation drop offs. You will check in through the front door of the building in the main offices.
