Welcome Charles Schwab! Community Storehouse is excited to show you everything that we stand for and host you at our main office location in North Fort Worth.
Community Storehouse is a children's based non-profit that was founded 40 years ago. Our mission is to help low-income families who are struggling nutritionally and educationally. We do this through tutoring, school break camps, little learners and a food pantry.
For your volunteer event, we will be having you assist us throughout our facility. Every day families arrive at our doors to receive grocery carts full of food and household items when they are available. They also utilize our service for clothing and furniture donations as well We will need your support in possibly assisting us with snack packs, sorting and pricing donations and facility upkeep such as painting. Community Storehouse relies heavily on volunteers to make sure that it's doors stay open everyday.
Since you will be volunteering in a warehouse style environment, please make sure to wear close toed shoes, dress appropriately for the weather since the Nutritional Center and Donation center is constantly being exposed to the weather outside. If you are not able to stand for the duration of your shift, please let the volunteer coordinator know, and we will be able to host you in a variety of other areas at Community Storehouse.
Upon arrival, please park in the lot that is directly to the north of our building, (the driveway entrance tot he right hand side when facing the building). This way we can leave the front spaces open for clients and donation drop offs. You will check in through the donation center doors which is located inside the gated area on the left hand side of the building.
