Community Storehouse is looking for volunteers to assist with a one day furniture pickup opportunity. The volunteers for this need will be assisting one of our drivers on a scheduled route for furniture pickups. You will be riding in our large box truck for the duration of the shift, and will be on a pre-determined route assisting the driver in getting items out of personal residences and possibly local businesses.
You must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods of time, and having a working knowledge of using a furniture dolly is helpful.
Please wear close toed shoes, steel toed preferred, and you may visit Katie Johnston, volunteer coordinator, for a work shirt. Shorts are allowed as long as they are a respectful length, and clothing must be rip and tear free.
