Welcome to Christmas House Volunteer Registration! This is one of our most favorite events of the year! Christmas House helps low-income families from Argyle, Carroll, Keller and Northwest IDS’s fulfill their holiday needs by supplying holiday food and toys.
As a volunteer, you may be asked to assist with:
- Snowmen – Volunteers will be helping us by keeping traffic moving and ensure the safety of those walking to and from Christmas House.
- Elves – Elves have the very important job of assisting clients with their toy selections. One elf will be assigned to each client and will walk with them through the spaces and help them to choose the perfect gift!
- Reindeer – These volunteers will be assisting clients once they have completed their toy shopping. You be handed a cart full of treasures and you will be responsible for holding that cart for the clients until they arrive out front with their vehicle. You will then assist with loading items in to the car.
- Santa’s Helpers – These volunteers will be assisting with keeping the tables stocked with toys and assisting the elves when they bring a client to shop at their designated areas.
All volunteers are encouraged to dress in festive attire, but please bring clothing that is weather appropriate as you may be outdoors and please wear close toed shoes. Volunteer should be able to lift to 30 lbs. and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Since the parking at Community Storehouse is going to be reserved for clients, volunteers will park at Woodland Springs Elementary: 12120 Woodland Springs Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76244 and a shuttle will take you to and from Community Storehouse.
