Camp Make S’mores is the annual Spring Break Camp held by Community Storehouse. We are hosting up to 40 kids ranging in ages from 1st – 8th grade. This year, our focus is on reading and STEM activities. Our theme is Westlandia (if you haven’t read it we highly recommend!)
Volunteers will be assisting with facilitating group and individual activities, keeping children on task, assisting with lunch, and pickup and drop off. We will be having a lot of fun, so come prepared to engage with kids! We are looking forward to using some of our brand-new equipment such as our 3D printer and computer lab, so if you have a knack for science, please join us!
Volunteers will be asked to bring a sack lunch, water will be provided by Community Storehouse.
Since we are working with children, we ask that all volunteers please leave their mobile devices on silent, and do not bring them out unless needed for an emergency.
We ask that volunteers wear close toed shoes. No jeans or shorts with rips or tears, and no halter or spaghetti strapped shirts. When parking, please use the lot to the North of the building leaving the front spaces open for clients and visitors.
