Community Storehouse is dedicated to the well being of the children within the community that we serve, and we understand that during school breaks, providing additional meals to kids can put a financial burden on many households. That is why, before any major school break, Community Storehouse provides our Hunger Doesn't Take a Break Boxes to families who have pre-registered. These boxes contain kid-friendly items such as cereal, granola bars, mac'n cheese and tuna, that children are able to prepare by themselves rather easily while at home during the break.
The food distribution will be from 2 - 4 and we ask that volunteers arrive 30 minutes early for setup/instructions, and stay 30 minutes after for clean up. Please wear close toed shoes and dress for the weather as this is a drive thru style distribution. There is cover in the event of rain, but we will still be taking food a short distance to families vehicles.
Please be able to lift up to 35 lbs., and be able to stand for the duration of the shift. Parking for volunteers can be found in the lot to the North of the building.
