Volunteer: Blue Bin Check-up- Keller ISD Campuses

Help us keep our Blue Donation Bins in great shape! This is a great opportunity for YMSL, NCL or families to volunteer on their own schedule while making a big impact.  This opportunity is designed to be done as a team.  One adult must be present in the car. Only one sign up per car.  Example: if there are two people in the car only sign up for one opportunity.  Hours will be assigned to everyone after emailed report is received on the same day as the route was completed. Here's how it works:Sign up for the Blue Bin Check-Up opportunity through our volunteer portal. Before your assigned day, stop by the Donation Center and see Gwen. She’ll provide a map and easy instructions for the campuses you’ll check. Monday- Saturday 9-4 On your assigned day, you can go at any time of day as long as it is on your assigned day, check in on Galaxy digital account and head out to your bin route:If the bin is clean, take a quick photo and you’re done!If items are left outside the bin, please place them inside. If it all won't fit please tidy up and leave the items beside, not in front of, the bin then take a photo. If the bin lock has been cut off or broken in to please note that in your report. If the bin is full/overflowing, take a photo and note in your report so we can schedule a pickup. If the bin is really bad send a before and after photo in your report.Send the report as soon as you can after you finish the route to ensure the bins can be serviced as needed.  Reports must be sent the same day to ensure speedy clean up if needed. ALL reports must be sent by 12midnight the day of your assigned route to receive 2 hours credit. Reports received the next day defeats the purpose of the opportunity and will be given half credit.

4. Email Gwen@communitystorehouse.org the photos of the bins, what name of route you were assigned and your names (who needs the hours).  All who need hours verified (eg. even years later for college application) must have a Community Storehouse volunteer account to give hours. It is important to send the report as soon as possible so we can make service arrangements for any needs that may arise. If you do not send the report by 12midnight the day of your assigned route you will only be given 1 hour of credit.

Your help ensures our bins stay tidy, functional, and respected in the community. Thank you for being part of the solution!
