There are many people who don't have access to paper products. With your help, Community Storehouse can provide more aid to families in need.

 6 items =2hrs of service!!!   Please drop off and sign in at the kiosk for credit. Monday - Thursday from 9:30 am-noon /  1:30-4:00pm and Friday's from 9:00 - Noon

24oz or more of dish soap

Feminine products (pads preferred)

In the middle of the summer, it can be difficult for families to have enough food and other necessities. Hunger, and everyday living essentials is a war we continue to fight against in the heat of the summer. 

With your help, Community Storehouse will be able to restock its shelves with food that can be used by families in need. We are asking for shelf-stable foods and a few products to help us on our journey!  .15 items =2hrs of service!!!  Please drop off and sign in at the kiosk for credit. Community Storehouse Snack Pack Program is one of our fastest growing programs. Snack packs are delivered to title one campuses within our service area, where counselors distribute them to children who have been identified as low-income. We currently are sending out almost 5,000 of these bags to schools in Keller, Northwest and Argyle ISD's each month.  

Snack packs consist of 6 different child friendly snacks that are bagged inside of a plastic shopping sack (store does not matter). We ask that the sacks be double tied, but are tied so that air is able to escape.  Space is a commodity in schools, and we attempt to pack as many into a container as possible for delivery.  

Ideas for snack pack contents are:

Fruit cups with plastic covers - Please no foil lids as they are easily punctured

Granola Bars or fruity bars

Cheese crackers

Individual bags of chips

Microwavable popcorn

Microwavable oatmeal

Mac n' Cheese Cups

Bags of cookies

Fruit snacks/fruit roll ups

Pudding Cups

10 completed snack bags will equal 2 hours of service to Community Storehouse. 

MUST CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK OR ADD HOURS TO PORTAL TO RECEIVE THE HOURS - NO SIGNATURES WITHOUT INFORMATION ON YOUR PORTAL.

Bags must be dropped at our facility location - 12001 Katy Rd. 76244 (Monday - Thursday from 9:30 am-noon /  1:30-4:00pm and Friday's from 9:00 - Noon) at the NUTRITION CENTER door through the gate - not the main office.

Please do not drop bags at the Donation Center as they may not be allocated correctly.

Assisting with filling carts for clients, as well as other routine maintenance within the food pantry

Qualifications:

Stand for the entire shift

Must be able to lift 20 lbs

Closed toe shoes

Willing to pivot to various activities within the pantry, as needed

Help assemble weekend snack packs

Hygiene items are a sought after commodity for many people struggling with food and financial insecurity.  Many times, people must make hard choices between purchasing items for consumption and those for personal hygiene.  

At Community Storehouse, in addition to the food that is provided through our Nutritional Center, we also typically have the ability to offer a hygiene bag that is donated by volunteers.  

The hygiene bag contains the necessities that you would need when starting your day.  We ask that items be packed in a gallon sized zip lock style bag so that in the event of a spill, we don't contaminate food items. 

Each bag should contain FULL SIZE versions of:

1 bottle of shampoo 1 bar/bottle of soap or body wash 1 toothbrush 1 tube of toothpaste 1 deodorant  1 washcloth Additional items such as a small containers of lotions, floss, mouthwash etc. are not required but are very much appreciated.

6 completed bags will equal 2 hours of service to Community Storehouse.
